Position Summary
The Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) is offering Fall Internship to a qualified candidate who will support the Research, Synthesis & New Technology (RSNT) team. This paid internship is a part time, temporary employment opportunity averaging 20 to 30 hours per week for an undergraduate or postgraduate student. All applicants must be eligible to work in the US and located in the US. Pay Range and Employment Status:
Interns shall be classified as temporary employees who are hired as interim replacements, to temporarily supplement the workforce, or to assist in the completion of a specific project and who are temporarily scheduled to work for a limited duration. Employment beyond any initially stated period does not in any way imply a change in employment status. Temporary workers are not eligible for PCORI benefits.
Current master's level and above students will be paid $20.00 per hour. Bachelor's level students will be paid: $17.50 per hour.
The RSNT department is seeking an intern who will have the opportunity to:
• The intern will provide broad support to the New Technology Team in support of PCORI's mission to produce high-integrity and evidence-based information driven by patients and other healthcare stakeholders. The project planned will involve identifying highly disruptive interventions from the archived topics of the PCORI's Horizon Scan Database, specifically those that have already diffused into the clinical market. Highly disruptive interventions include therapeutics, technologies, diagnostics, and others that are identified disruptive in terms of patient outcomes, health disparities, care delivery, infrastructure, access, and/or cost Interventions diffused into the clinical market are archived after 1 year in PCORI's Horizon Scan Database but are still available for review. Additionally examine a few select examples, in depth, to understand how much of those interventions have impacted the clinical care. This project will lay the groundwork for further understanding of early identification of highly disruptive interventions through stakeholder-driven horizon scanning process.

Required Skills
The RSNT team is seeking an intern that will meet the following requirements:
- Experience synthesizing data/information from various sources
- Ability to work independently and manage projects
- Willingness to collaborate as part of a team
- Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to solve problems
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience drafting content
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Products
Required Experience
Ideal candidates will be pursuing their undergraduate or postgraduate education with a strong interest in Health Science or Public Health or Pharmacy.

Applicants who are chosen will be phone screened by PCORI People Strategy and Services. Virtual interviews with relevant intern supervisors will take place from August 12th to August 23rd.
