What will you be doing as a UX Analyst? Applies user-centered design, usability, and human factors research techniques to the design of products, software, systems, and processes.
Responsibilities:
- Perform primary research (e.g.; contextual inquiry, job shadowing, market research, competitive analysis, etc.) to discover who the end users are and what the core and critical jobs to be done that the product/software will support.
- Maintain personas for the products through continuous research and refinement.
- Create explicit understanding and empathy around user needs, stated and unstated, for the entire Agile product and/or software team.
- Design human-computer interaction (e.g.; navigation/flow, information design, calls to action) that is useful, frictionless, empowering, and delightful.
- Test and evaluate interaction design and user experience of designs throughout Agile software development and delivery.
- Ensure delivered software meets the needs of users through post-release engagement and assessments.
- Analyze user analytics and engage with customer service teams to identify usability and user experience issues and opportunities.
- Administer surveys and analyze results to measure customer satisfaction and present findings to product & delivery teams.
- Conduct usability evaluations on current applications and speak to gaps.
- Create user journey maps of current experiences and envision new journeys based on product evolution.
When This Role Is Done Well:
- User experiences with the app and service are useful, frictionless, empowering, innovative, and delightful.
- Agile software delivery team has clear and explicit, sharable knowledge of the actual end user and their goals, objectives, motivations, and strategies.
- Customer is building the right product for the real-world end users and their goals and tasks.
- Agile software delivery team is aligned internally and with the customer on user experience goals.
- New and infrequent users can pick up and use the app, device, or system with little to no training or assistance from others.
- Customer achieves measurable business results or outcomes from users successfully using the product.
- Product and/or software meets accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG 2.1 AA).
- The team has little to no design re-work due to a lack of understanding of design guidance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Business, or a related Technology field.
- 3 years of experience working in a User Experience/Research or Technology role.
- Experience working with software design and/or development teams.
- Experience conducting user research and translating findings into design solutions.
- Familiarity with design tools (e.g., Figma) is desired.
- Capable of designing and administering surveys and familiar with industry standards.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Comfortable with data analysis and user analytics tools.
