Tax Planning Quantitative Solutions Senior Manager

The tax organization is seeking a senior manager to join the Tax Planning team and play an integral role in quantitative solutions and modelling for U.S. international tax matters. The ideal candidate will have U.S. international tax experience with a quantitative data background to solve problems. This is a high visibility position providing the candidate with opportunity to work on corporate restructuring, tax policy and global controversy projects. This position reports directly to the Deputy Tax Counsel responsible for Global Tax Planning and Transfer Pricing.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for in-depth quantitative analysis for U.S. international tax items, including but not limited to, earnings and profits, subpart F, GILTI, FDII, BEAT, section 163(j), expense apportionment and allocation, and foreign tax credit models, with the ability to clearly articulate findings in visual, verbal and written format.
  • Design processes through new and existing technologies to streamline quantitative analyses that is repeatable and sustainable on a long-term basis.
  • Monitor implementation of OECD Pillar 2 initiative and develop quantitative framework to calculate resulting tax liabilities.
  • Partner effectively with Tax Reporting team to implement scalable system and process enhancements to streamline reporting obligations related to U.S. international tax calculations.
  • Team with tax policy, controversy and planning pillars on tax organization initiatives and special projects, including modeling the impact of proposed U.S. international tax legislation and proposed tax planning scenarios.

Required Qualifications

  • B.A. in Accounting, Masters in Taxation or C.P.A with 12+ years in a tax function at a large multinational corporation or public accounting firm. Experience in U.S. International tax compliance and/or tax provision a plus.
  • Significant experience in working with large and complex data sets to build models and leverage data visualization tools in reporting to senior leadership.
  • Excellent organization, interpersonal, and succinct written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet targeted deadlines for project completion.
  • Proficient with MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and One Source software, and have familiarity with data analytic tools such as Alteryx, Power BI, or Tableau.

  • A U.S. international tax practitioner with a strong passion for problem solving via quantitative analysis. Succinct verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate complex tax issues to executive leadership and non-tax business partners. Demonstrated ability to collaborate, analyze and recommend solutions to leadership.
