Position Description:
Develops and tests software applications in a large enterprise environment, using Java, Javascript, Cypress, Selenium, and Java/JS frameworks. Investigates, isolates, and solves technical issues across the full technology stack using automated and manual testing methodologies. Tests Angular/Vue-based User Interfaces (UIs) and RESTful Web Services. Applies Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) principles using Jenkins and Git. Automates application pipelines, using Git/Bitbucket Server (Stash) and Jenkins. Uses business knowledge to translate the vision for divisional initiatives into business solutions by developing complex or multiple software applications and conducting studies of alternatives.

Primary Responsibilities:
Participates in architecture design teams.
Recommends development testing tools and methodologies and reviews and validates test plans.
Responsible for QA readiness of software deliverables.
Develops comprehensive documentation for multiple applications or subsystems.
Responsible for meeting project goals on-time and on-budget.
Acts as a primary liaison for business units to resolve various project/technology issues.
Provides technology solutions to daily issues and technical evaluation estimates on technology initiatives.
Advises senior management on technical strategy.
Mentors junior team members.
Performs independent and complex technical and functional analysis for multiple projects supporting several divisional initiatives.
Develops original and creative technical solutions to on-going development efforts.
Analyzes and reports test status and results.
Identifies test issues and reports to project manager and business.
Defines regression tests, and production verification and validation for future projects.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3) years of experience as a Senior Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) designing, creating, and maintaining test automation frameworks in a healthcare services environment.
Or, alternatively, Master's degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and one (1) year of experience as a Senior Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) designing, creating, and maintaining test automation frameworks in a healthcare services environment.
Skills and Knowledge:
Candidate must also possess:
Demonstrated Expertise ("DE") supporting the full application development lifecycle - analyzing, designing, developing, testing, building, and deploying using tools - Java and JavaScript, Cypress.
DE developing quality assurance (QA) automation for APIs developed in GraphQL, using Rest Assured/Java and Cypress/Node.js; and performing QA automation of digital platforms within a healthcare services environment.
DE designing and developing automation frameworks, using Cucumber, TestNG, and Groovy Spock; and performing Test Driven and Behavior Driven Development (TDD and BDD) according to design patterns, using Cypress and TestNG methodologies.
DE facilitating pipeline jobs to ensure build quality within QA environments and automation framework maintenance with daily runs, using Maven, Jenkins, and Groovy.
