Make Your Mark:
As the Event Specialist at BlackLine, you will play a pivotal role in managing our enterprise event software platform, Cvent, and other event technologies to optimize event management processes and enhance attendee experiences. You will lead the setup, customization, and administration of Cvent, ensuring seamless integration with other enterprise applications and leveraging emerging technologies to automate workflows and drive efficiency.
You'll Get To:
Event Technology
- Cvent Configuration and Administration:
- Lead the setup, configuration, and ongoing administration of the Cvent software platform tailored to meet specific event requirements.
- Customize and implement event registration websites, email communications, attendee apps, and surveys within Cvent to align with event objectives.
- Event Workflow Development:
- Develop and build event workflows including registration, attendee management, and reporting to ensure streamlined operations and accurate data management.
- Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Collaborate with stakeholders across departments to enhance system efficiency, reduce redundancy, and provide guidance on leveraging event technology effectively.
- Onsite Registration Management:
- Manage onsite registration processes at key events, ensuring smooth attendee check-ins and exceptional customer service.
- System Integration and Testing:
- Coordinate with corporate marketing and IT teams for successful integration of Cvent with other enterprise applications.
- Conduct thorough testing of system upgrades and new releases to ensure stability, functionality, and seamless integration.
- Issue Resolution and Relationship Management:
- Address system-related issues promptly, providing timely resolutions or escalating as necessary.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure collaborative Cvent system management and effective support.
- Training and Leadership:
- Provide leadership, guidance, and training to less experienced staff on event technology best practices and system usage.
- Technology and Industry Awareness:
- Stay updated on emerging event technologies and industry trends beyond Cvent, identifying opportunities for process improvement and increased automation.
- Maintain vendor relationships to stay informed of software advancements and opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Reporting and Dashboard Development:
- Collaborate with leadership to develop comprehensive event reports and dashboards, providing actionable insights for strategic decision-making.
- SharePoint Site Management:
- Create and administer the event marketing SharePoint site, including event and speaker calendars, ensuring accurate and timely updates.
- Meetings Automation:
- Implement and manage the meetings automation platform for in-person events, including 'Meet the Expert' and inbound/outbound meetings.
Field Marketing Event Coordination
- Research, negotiate, and secure venues for assigned events, ensuring optimal locations and cost efficiency.
- Develop comprehensive logistics plans in advance of events, collaborating with team members to ensure seamless execution.
- Manage vendors, including venues and event service providers, ensuring all contractual obligations are met.
- Track sponsorship commitments and ensure fulfillment of sponsor benefits, maintaining strong communication to manage expectations effectively.
- Oversee registration processes and attendee management, ensuring a smooth experience for all participants.
- Prepare event materials such as programs, signage, giveaways, name badges, and other on-site requirements.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, managing timelines and deliverables effectively.
- Execute event plans, providing on-site support and coordination (travel required as necessary).
- Conduct thorough event wrap-ups, analyzing event success and preparing comprehensive reports for internal review and client presentations.
What You'll Bring:
- Bachelor's degree & Minimum 3 years of experience in event technology management, with a strong emphasis on Cvent software configuration and administration.
- Proven expertise in customizing event registration processes, email communications, and attendee engagement tools within Cvent.
- Experience in managing onsite registration processes and integrating event technologies with enterprise applications.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
- Proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with shifting priorities.
- Certifications in Event Management, Hospitality, Event Marketing, or related fields are a plus.

Salary Range:
USD $85,000.00 - USD $114,000.00
Pay Transparency Statement:
Placement within this range depends upon several factors, including the applicant's prior relevant job experience, skill set, and geographic location. In addition to base pay, BlackLine also offers short-term and long-term incentive programs, based on eligibility, along with a robust offering of benefit and wellness plans.
